Young Moose in Denali The tundra of Denali the first two weeks of September are blanketed in the colors of red, yellow & white snow covering the mountain peaks. Some of North Americas largest mammals live in this very harsh environment, including the moose, grizzly bears, black bears, caribou, and the dall sheep. Most people figure it would be easy to spot wildlife, but not necessarily so. The moose is a good example. I spotted a moose from the road and not one of forty other people could spot him. Just his antlers were sticking out of the brush, and without really looking closely you would think it was just branches. The camouflage of nature!
