On a trip down to Florida, I spent each evening (when possible) finding a location to watch (and possibly photograph) a sunset. In the course of setting up, Brown Pelicans and Woodstorks would fly nearby and look to see what I was doing, (probably looking for handouts). So as I was setting up my tripod, this fellow positioned himself with the perfect backdrop. The Inlet waters were getting dark as the sun was going down. The midnight blue was a great backdrop for the yellow, grey, and white colors of this Brown Pelican.
