Standing Solo I'm on my second trip to Montana. I was just here last fall, now I'm back in spring to photograph some pups, cubs, kids, fawns, etc. Here I'm at the National Bison Range just above Missoula, Montana. Yes, it says Bison range, but there are many other animals roaming about in this protected area. I was just about to complete the driving loop, when I came up on a male pronghorn (Antelope). He was very close to the road; a very unusual occurrence. Back in September, I couldn't get within two football fields length from one. He seemed to care little that I was there. I even had to drive to the opposite side of the road, because my lens wouldn't focus that close. He stayed around for quite a while and didn't seemed threatened at all. It made my day!
