John Olivers place is the first cabin you'll see along the Cades Cove loop in the Smoky Mountain National Park. I had been driving out to the loop every day for about a week, and every day these deer would be feeding early in the morning right in front of the John Oliver home. This day, I wanted to take a shot with my medium format camera. I don't take wildlife shots often with this camera as it takes me quite a while to set it up. Most wildlife won't wait for me to get ready, but this particular group of deer seem to care less that I was there, giving me plenty of time to take their picture.
