Eyes of the Canyon

I flew out west to photograph Canyonlands & Arches National Parks. Beautiful places, but I was really close to the Utah/Arizona border, so on my last day I headed south to the Navajo Reservation. When I reached the slot canyon, the fellow that brought me out there asked me how long I’d be.... I told him a few hours, and with that, he said..."you go ahead, and I’ll come back for you". Sounded good to me! This shot was awkward to shoot. I climbed up into a open area, and had my camera jammed up against the side of the rock, still managing to keep it on a tripod. It turned out exactly as I had wished. Eyes from above watching you.
