Spirit of the Navajo

While on a trip out west, I drove over to the Navajo Reservation to find a slot canyon I had seen in a magazine. I had a brand new camera and was itching to use it. The reservation covers hundred of square miles and with tremendous luck, I pulled off the road and was just standing there when a tour rode up and asked if I’d like to join them to the slot canyon. What luck! When I got my shots back from that trip, only one shot had a decent exposure, and it had people in it. A couple of years later I traveled back to the same place. I met the owner of the land and we went out to the site. I photographed while he played guitar in the canyon... I got better results on this trip. Moral of the story...

Know your equipment!!!!
