Autumn in Cades Cove, one of the peak tourist areas in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's hard to have "solitude" at this time of year. People are everywhere. It's taken me 2.5 hours to get a couple miles through the loop. The church you see is the Methodist church found in a couple of my other shots. Once... I laugh every time I think about it, I was driving on the loop when I drove next to the church. A family had driven there motorhome into the field next to the church and was sitting there out in their lawnchairs. I didn't attempt to go up the spot that evening. I can just imagine what the photographers up there were saying!
