Here is the Bud Ogle house in late fall. Our first snow has come to the area this year in early November. The road was closed because of the snow, so I had to hike a short distance to get to the house. You can see the Dogwood tree in the foreground has red berries. As I get to the house, it begins to flurry again. You can notice this in the photograph. I loved the way this photo turned out, and my feelings were reinforced by the fact that it won a first place honor in Pigeon Forge's Wilderness Week Photo Competition. Wilderness Week is a week long educational event about nature taking place the second week of January.
