One of the most popular places in the Smokes to see a beautiful sunset, Morton Overlook. I was in Cherokee this day on business, and was coming back over the mountain right at dusk. I decided to stop and see what kind of sunset would be presented to me tonight. As the sun was setting this evening, I could see that this was going to be an unique sunset. Of all the photographs I have taken over the years, this one I feel is my "Crowning" achievement. No filters were used and this is just the way it appeared to me. I have been to Morton Overlook many times since then, but never have I witnessed a sunset that comes close to the beauty I had the pleasure to see that night.
