Early in the morning, there is a quiet softness. I leave out before sunrise to get some shots of daffodils in the fields. All is still this morning. A blanket of fog hangs over Cades Cove. I drive up to the first pullout and grab my photo gear. As I am about to crawl through the fence, I notice a web glistening in the early morning sun. I stepped back and set up my tripod, composed the scene and took a few shots. In the background you can just make out the daffodils that I was making my way towards. My shots of them now seem overshadowed by a different shot of nature.
