One of the few days when the crowds were not around. It was the second week of November. A light dusting of snow had just given the few who visited Cades Cove, a beautiful day to remember. Some of the visitors, who had been coming to the Smokes for many years, had even said that this was one of the prettiest displays of fall color they had ever seen. We were very fortunate this year that Mother Nature had given us such a long season. The next year I went to the same location, at the same time and the tree with all the color, hadn't a leaf on it!
