The Carter Shields cabin is located on the driving loop in Cades Cove. The cabin stands in a small open area and is very hard to get a good shot of. This day in July I found some daisies blooming nearby, so I got some shots of them with the cabin in the background. This shot is very sentimental to me as the architecture of this cabin reminds me very much of the small Acadian homes back in my home state of Louisiana. This shot was also my very first "sell". The gentleman who purchased it is a descendant of the Shields family who once lived in this home.
