This is the Bud Ogle Farm on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, one of my favorite places in the park. The Smokes had an unusually long autumn season this year. Add to it an early snow to the area. I was fortunate enough to catch both the color of autumn and the look of winter in the same shot. Imagine life back when this farm was a home to the Ogle family. Many of the pieces of the times can still be seen in the area. A short nature trail behind the house will gives you a glimpse of the land that they had to work with. Walk the trail and see it for yourself!
