This is the Portland Headlight, one of the most painted, photographed, and reproduced lighthouses in the world. Spring comes later in the year for Maine. Some of the flowers are just beginning to bloom the first week of June. This was one of my many stops along the Maine coastline. On this trip I traveled from the southernmost point in Maine, Kittery, to Acadia National Park. Along the way, along with finding lighthouses, I also took a excursion out to Mantinicus Island to photograph a reintroduced bird to the Maine coastline, the Atlantic Puffin. Maine, a must do vacation spot for all that love to travel!
